Children’s Ministries at KMBChristian Education HourWe have four age-specific classes that operate during the Christian Education Hour (9:15–10:15am on Sundays): Baby Nursery (0–2yrs), Toddler Nursery (3–4 yrs); Kindergarten (5–6 yrs), and Primary (7–11 yrs). God’s Gang A children’s program for ages JK to Grade 4 runs during the second half of the worship service on Sunday mornings. Kids hear stories, do crafts, and have fun learning about God. Kids Alive This after-school program for kids in JK–Grade 6 runs from September through April on Mondays from 3:45 to 5:15pm. It begins again this fall on Monday, September 26, 2011. Kids Alive is an outreach program for children in the church neighbourhood—a safe place to go after school, and a fun place to make new friends! They play sports, games, do crafts, have Bible lessons, and sing. Kids Alive’s purpose is that children would know God’s love and choose to follow Christ. Vacation Bible School With 70 volunteers and 125 kids, last year’s VBS was a smash hit! The kids had a great time and the power of Christ was experienced. We’ll keep you posted on this year’s theme. To register your child(ren) for VBS 2012, which will take place August 6–10, fill out this registration form for each one and mail, drop off, or e-mail it to the church by August 3th. To volunteer your time or talents during our VBS week, please contact the office. Police reference checks must be on file for all those who choose to work with the children. |
