Senior Youth Ministries at KMB

Welcome to the Senior Youth Page!

One does not have to look very far to see the struggles youth face in the years of adolescence. So many changes are happening during this time of life and it can become very difficult to make important choices about one self and ones future. This ministry is designed to help youth through the trying times of adolescence.

We are focused on helping youth understand the gospel of Christ, to become passionate followers of him, and build a Christian world view that helps us to make choices that bring glory to God. Through discussions, fellowship, and mentoring relationships, our hope is to journey with youth through some of the best and most trying years of life.

Our group meets twice a week. On Sunday mornings at 9:15–10:15am (before the worship service) we have an hour of Christian education known as C.E.H. (Christian Education Hour). Here we explore the Bible and talk about how its messages are still relevant to us and our world today. We also meet most every week on Friday or Sunday nights from 7 to 9pm (here at KMB). This is commonly known as “youth group.” This is a time for games, discussion and food. We also meet every other Friday for social activities. Friday, March 5 – Your Favourite Games Night II at KMB 7:30–10pm

Submit your favourite games by e-mail or on Facebook.

Friday, March 19 – Midnight Bash at KMB 7:30–Midnight

Join for a night of crazy fun, good food, and great times!
Cost: $3 / person (to help cover the cost of food).

Sunday, March 28 – Sr. Youth Bible Study Night at KMB 7–9pm

Sunday, April 11 – Sr. Youth Bible Study Night at KMB 7–9pm

Friday, April 16 – Sr. Youth MCC Service Project

Help put together kits and knot blankets for MCC to ship overseas for families who have fled their homes because of war or disaster.
Drop off at the church at 6:30pm and pick up at 9:15pm.

Saturday, April 24 – Science Centre Trip

Drop off at the church a 9am & pick up at 5pm.
Cost: $20 / person (includes admission, travel, and parking).
Please bring a bagged lunch or extra money to purchase a lunch.

If you love to bake then we need your help! We are looking for 4-5 people who are willing to help us bake all the stuff for the coffee house at the Midnight Bash! We will be baking at the church on Thursday, March 18 (March Break) starting at 1pm. Let me know (by facebook, e-mail, or in person) if you can help.
